With the ability of the REF organising commit to put up a good show, the REF stand was very attractive and many people visited it to make inquiries on how they can benefit from products and services offered. REF was exhibiting the conventional grid electricity and made live demonstrations of biogas and solar energy. Resultantly, REF scooped the first prize in the Energy Sector and received a trophy which was presented to the then Minister of Energy and Power Development, Hon. Ambassador S.K.Moyo who was in the company of the CEO, Eng J.V Mashamba, REF Board Chairman, Mr W. A. Chiwewe and senior management.
