A total of 43 gangs were in the field during the week working on various grid projects, solar projects and biogas digesters projects in the 8 provinces of the country.During the week, 2 grid projects electrifying 11 institutions were energized (9 in Midlands and 2 in Mat North).In the week, 1 institutional solar Micro-grid powering 1 institution was also commissioned in, ward 8 Umguza District, Mat North Province.

Solar projects energised · Hlabathi Primary School – Umguza District – commissioned and energised 28/05/2025, benefiting a total Ward 8 population of 900 including 220 students, and 7 Teachers

Grid Projects Energised One project powering two institutions was energised in the week under review Chivare Clinic & Business Centre in Shamva district ward 18 – 3.2km of 11kV line, 0.72km MV line and 50kVA substation capacity energized on 30/05/25 benefiting 4 shops serving a population of around 4195 in the ward. The Clinic is not yet operational.

Domestic Biogas Works in Progress Identification of interested villagers is in progress. · To date, 40 homesteads (8 homesteads in Rushinga, 8 homesteads in Mt Darwin, 8 homesteads in Bindura, 8 homesteads in Shamva and 8 Homesteads in Mazowe) were identified and have started mobilising local materials and excavation of pits in preparation for the dome construction. · Muyembe homestead in Bindura District – domestic biogas pit excavation complete.
